So , ive tried and tried to get credits to buy cards but nothing has worked.
Ive decided that im going to do without purchases. I find that once i hit a certain rank i just get beat back down by well organised decks that i cant compete with. i know this is how it works and i have no complaints. If im going to play for free i m going to take a lot of beatings before i can compete, i was just wondering..
has anyone else invested and what do they think is a reasonable amount to invest and also what do people think of the acr daily animus vs doc system?

Well the ACR system is better, but needing 5 of a kind is worse.
You got the tourney as well to gain some gold. ACR wasnt much better without market what getting cards was, especially with the 5 of a kind. (dunno if u played during that time)
I suggest to buy 3k to get a serious box. Then u can buy hero packs with ure gold, wich just give u less commons/uncommons, but one rare/epic and a hero. I buy only hero packs since eternety with my level up gold. I bought 2 serious boxes though (6k seals) and a normal box withthe 1k on level4.

I spent $15, and bought the 10 pack box. That gave me a reasonable copy of rancord's inferno deck (I was fortunate enough to get pao deathseeker and dark assassin, so that helped plug the holes). Then you just try substitute same cost/type cards to keep the curve, where you don't have the same type. Only having one inner fire was a major pain at that stage, but I added some slow, and some of that 3cc spell that makes one enemy creature damage another enemy creature. I got 3rd in a tournament with that deck (25 games played on the weekend, looooong time). Then I got to level 10, had earned 1000 seals, and now have the exact Inferno deck (less one event). Or you could just spend more than $15, and get the serious box The key to that inferno deck is absolute all out aggresive rush. If you can put one more damage on the table than your opponent, you always put it in a clear lane, forcing him into unfavourable blocks. Try not to use pao or teleport defensbily unless you have to (sometimes you have to, like dropping pao on a dark assasin, or teleport a juggernaut to kill an enemy ravager). If you have 10 resources you can pull of sick moves like inner fire a juggernaut, teleport it to an open lane, hit for 6, drop pao in another open lane, hit for 3, play 3 alter of destruction for 6 damage... it's insane. That's 15 damage for exactly 10 cc (obviously situational, but you get the point). (if it's inner fire a ravager, the combo goes to 17 damage...) If a haven or necro deck tries to throat you, instead of blocking, you almost guaranteed a win, because you have the hardest hitting units, plus surprise damage from alter. What usually happens is you both get to 10 health (or more likely he is on 8, you are on 12), and he realizes he has to block you. Then you just manouver till you get an open lane to play teleport, and drop your alter.

Thatswhy gold pile is so important (still dont get infeo players who play without it). Since when u go 1st ure allways behind in drops, wich make u often loose rush vs rush. With gold pile u minimize the risk. Campfire is just a bit to late. Enemy allrdy dropped his jugger when u can campfire.

Totally agree. Or in the early stages of the game, it lets you drop a 2cc/3cc AND take out enemy's dark assassin with a firebolt. Immediate board advantage

ok cool, i played ACR from the 1st version , i bought a lot of credits so thats why im apprehensive about doing it again.
Im buying hero packs too. Ive got one account for each faction and i seemed to get the best luck with cards on my Heaven one so im playing with Siegfried on that one now. Ive got a Stronghold hero too but nowhere near enough cards to make a good deck yet.

One account for each faction? With no market, that seems a very difficult and expensive way to do things...

I basically just used 3 different uplay accounts to try each of the 3 faction starters, i got 6 free packs in each one. On the heaven one, i got the most 'usable' cards in my free packs, so thats the one im using as my main. Im not intending to spend any cash so we will see how that goes
